More than 68 percent of consumers believe a store’s signage is reflective of their products and services—poor quality signs mean poorly crafted products. In addition, poorly crafted or misspelled signs can deter up to 52 percent of customers from coming through your store—and for a small business, that’s drastic.
The study also found that small business owners who altogether opt out of exterior business signs deter nearly 60 percent of customers from ever entering the store. So what exactly is the right amount of signage? On average, consumers suggested small businesses should have 2 or 3 signs in and around it’s storefront.
